Kai, a red dragon with blue eyes, silver hair atop his head and a huge white scar over his back, held his leg from a recent injury after being pursued by a shadow dragon by the name of Rampent, according to the leader, ShadowWing. Rampent was hot on Kai's trail while he tried to escape the gun shooting blue cyborg dragon but ended up getting shot in the leg before he was spared by the Shadow dragon leader. Something about her mercy didn't feel right though. Almost as if he'd rather have been killed off. Kai only hoped that ShadowWing was the only one worse than Rampent.

As Kai held his hands over his open wound, his bleeding hadn't gone down by much. He had to keep holding it to prevent too much blood loss. Suddenly, something hit the dirt near the bars. It looked like wrapped up bandages. Kai pulled his way over to it and unraveled it so he could tie it around the gunshot injury. As he did so, something fell out with a faint clang. A key! Kai looked up after tying up the cloth. It was a bipedal panther-like dragoness with scars all over her body. Kai didn't know how to react. Her face didn't show any signs of hostility, but she didn't seem perfectly welcoming either. She looked down at him, meeting his gaze.

"You are Kai, right? The light dragon prisoner?" She asked. Kai simply nodded. "I am BlackPaw. That key will open your cell. I'll help you only this once. After all, I'm not really a shadow dragon at all. Like you, I'm technically held prisoner here, though, I work as their bartender." She turned around and started to head out. Though, she stopped in her tracks before she left the room and turned her head to Kai. "Don't make me regret helping you, Kai... oh, and one more thing," A tear could be seen streaming down from her eye. "If you make it back to the camp of light dragons... tell the bartender there that her mother loves her." Kai's eyes widened as it dawned on him that the bartenders of each camp were mother and daughter! Before Kai could say anything, BlackPaw had left.

Kai seized this opportunity the moment the old panther dragon left. He stood up on his good leg and unlocked the cell from inside. The door opened easily as Kai picked up a brisk pace out of there. As he was making his way out, it seemed as though the entire army of shadow dragons was gone. He remembered overhearing how the light dragons outnumbered them two to one, so he figured all of them were sent out to increase their chances of victory. If that happened, Kai's escape would have meant nothing in the end. Something caught his eye as he made his way out. It looked like something he's seen before... but not quite the same. It looked like the relic Hera had, but this one was dark. It took only half a moment for Kai to realize that this was the shadow dragons' half of the relic! Kai looked around and then examined the pedestal that the relic sat on for any possible traps. When he found none, he carefully picked it up. It felt lighter than he had expected. Again, no traps. Kai let out a sigh as he carried it out with him.

As Kai finally made his way outside, the light of the sun beamed in his eyes and he had to shield them until they adjusted properly. It was midday by the time he emerged from the mountain. Carefully making his way back to the light dragon camp with the relic in hand, he kept himself aware of any onlookers that may be watching him. He didn't want to make that mistake again.

His injured leg didn't bother him as much anymore thanks to the bandages that BlackPaw gave him. He was intent on keeping his promise to the old panther dragoness regarding her daughter. Along the way, he decided to try out his wings. He figured while no one was around, he should try them. They weren't huge lumbering extensions on his back, but they weren't tiny either. They were big enough for him to fold up behind him and extend when needed. At their longest, without injuring them, they were outstretched slightly further than his claws went. He gave them a forceful flap and felt as if he had attempted to jump. Kai grinned as he used his wings to gently touch down again. "These should come in handy sometime, but not now. Don't want to draw attention to myself." If he flew the rest of the way, he was bound to get noticed in the air. Besides, he'd probably end up becoming target practice for that psychotic cyborg, Rampent.

Almost halfway back to Hera's camp, Kai came across someone. They were crouched down over something and Kai tried to see what it was. After a moment, Kai's eyes shot wide open with horror. It was a light warrior! The ragdoll girl, Violet, had been killed. The figure stood up again. "That takes care of that. What a pity... too bad she wasn't much of a challenge." Kai's blood boiled at the sound of his words. The man just stood there facing the other way. "Are you going to just stand there?" Kai froze. Had he made a sound loud enough for this murderer to hear him? He was sure he had tread lightly. The man turned around. He had red hair, a pair of glasses covering his sartruce eyes, a metal gauntlet over his left hand, black and white belts crossing over his black, white, and red suit. "Are you yet another specimen I could experiment with?" Kai couldn't believe this. This guy seemed more crazed than Rampent!

"I'm just passing through. I don't want any trouble." The man eyed Kai suspiciously.

"And I suppose you expect me to just let you walk away with that?" He said pointing a gauntlet finger at the relic half. "Do you honestly think I'm so stupid? Honestly, how could you think such a thing!? You'll pay for your arrogance, young dragon. For you are now dealing with the unstoppable Aolos!" Kai blinked once... twice.

"Okay..." Kai said cocking an eyebrow. Aolos seemed irritated.

"You mean you haven't heard of me? Surely you must see what I am capable of after seeing the body of your poor precious comrade?" Kai snarled.

"One thing is for sure, you will pay for that!" Kai yelled letting out a roar. Aolos simply smirked.

"My my... you need to learn not to scream at people. It's rude, you know." He then aimed an arm at Kai. At first, Kai had no idea what he was up to. Could this have been what killed Violet? Kai thought he could prepare for whatever Aolos was doing, but nothing seemed to be happening. Aolos just stood there for a moment with his palm aimed at Kai. When Kai took a step forward, however, something didn't feel quite right. Kai's foot felt wet even though there wasn't any water or mud there. When Kai looked down, he realized that something was terribly wrong. Water was rising all around him! That couldn't be right... unless... Kai realized now what Aolos was doing. He was raising water all around them! Kai tried running through the water past Aolos, but the sorcerer cut him off at such an incredible speed as far as wading through water goes. It was almost as if the water wasn't even there for him. Aolos curled his gauntlet into a fist and slugged Kai in the chin, knocking him down into the water.

Kai felt like he couldn't breathe as he struggled to stand again. When he resurfaced, the water had risen all the way up to his chest. He had to think fast or else he'd drown. Memories flooded back to Kai like the water around him back when he was a human. He had nearly died from drowning back before he was a teenager. He had hoped to never again associate himself with water again. His heart rate increased as he struggled to rise above the water but it felt as if he couldn't jump off the ground. That's when he had an idea.

Kai extended his wings and quickly flapped them as hard as he could. The water made it difficult to rise properly, but they seemed to be doing fine. Eventually, he had risen above the water only to find that he had dropped the relic! Kai was about to go back down to find it when he suddenly stopped and kept himself in the air as he looked down at the water. Aolos was beneath the water looking up at him like the water wasn't even there. He gritted his teeth at the thought of going back down and possibly drowning or leaving the relic behind and returning to camp empty handed. His fears won him over and he flew straight back to camp without the relic.

With Aolos, the water around him was rapidly going down. He looked in the direction Kai flew off and back down to the relic. He groaned as he knew he had to take it back to the mountain and leave Kai behind. "Well... at least it wasn't a total loss." He said with a grin as he looked at Violet's dead body before picking up the relic to take back.
This was just a quick put together since I'm horrible with procrastination. ;A; I feel bad about it though. Anyway, I DO feel good about getting it done in time. Also, I tried to come up with a good way to apply my partner's resignation from the group and this was what I came up with... don't judge me. Also, Kai has just learned how to fly now~ :la: Anyway, I believe some credits are due!
